“Writer, journaling guide and believer in the transformative power of putting pen to paper.”
Hi, I’m Penelope Falls. My journey with transformational journaling began when I was working to stay sober. I started writing to help me recognize why I was caught up in negative rumination and thought patterns. But even as I wrote, I realized I was living life on autopilot, having experiences but not really learning from them.
That’s when I discovered something powerful: the right questions on paper could unlock everything. It wasn’t enough to just record what happened. I needed to ask why it happened, what it meant, and what it was trying to teach me.
What started as a tool for sobriety became something much bigger, a personal quest to find myself. Over the past decade, journaling has been my companion through every major life transition, every difficult decision, and all the hiccups along the way.
I learned to explore my daily experiences through writing which led me to my inner wisdom. A difficult conversation became a lesson in boundaries. A moment of frustration revealed an unmet need. A beautiful sunrise reminded me to slow down and notice.
The more I wrote, the more I understood myself. And the more I understood myself, the more authentic my life became.
“Your life is already teaching you everything you need to know—you just need to learn how to listen through intentional writing.”
After years of using journaling to transform my own life, I felt called to share what I’d learned. Not everyone needs to figure this out the hard way like I did. The tools, techniques, and guided questions that helped me could help others too.
That’s why I create guided journals and write about journaling practices. I want to give you the framework to discover your own insights, to ask the questions that matter, and to trust your own inner wisdom.
This isn’t about me telling you what to think or how to live. It’s about me showing you how to listen to what your own life is already trying to tell you.
On this site, I share blog posts about journaling techniques, personal growth lessons I’ve learned, and prompts to help you explore your own experiences more deeply. I also create guided journals designed for specific life situations—whether you’re navigating a transition, working through something difficult, or simply wanting to know yourself better.
My approach is honest, authentic, and grounded in real experience. I don’t have all the answers, but I do know how to ask good questions. And sometimes, that’s exactly what we need.
